The Plan links to one of Mulloon’s TIMME Project sites at Gnowangerup, which sits in the headwaters of the Pallingup River catchment and involves two of the projects consortium partners in Noongar Land Enterprises and Gondwana Link.

Around 100 people attended the launch, including local Noongar representatives, local NRM and Government agencies, universities and landholders.

The launch started with Noongar elders talking about their involvement in developing the plan, followed by their recollections and stories of the Pallingup River past and present. There was a strong theme throughout the event of returning the Pallingup River to its former glory as a cultural and environmental icon for the region through a focus on restoration works and better access for all people to the river, especially local Noongar.

Mulloon congratulates the Noongar community, especially the elders on producing such an inspiring and engaging plan, we look forward to working with you as the TIMME Gnowangerup project progresses and ultimately contributes to the objectives of the Pallingup Healthy Country Plan.

The TIMME Project involves six demonstration sites across Australia that engages and assists local communities to reinstate healthy landscape function within their catchments.

The TIMME project is funded by the Australian Government through the Future Drought Fund Resilient Landscapes Program.
