Meet Olive the Maremma

Meet Olive the famous Maremma, and her equally fabulous handler!

Olive appears on the front cover of the current Bungendore Business & Community Directory and is pictured here with her handler Tessa from Mulloon Creek Natural Farms.

We have 22 Maremma dogs who look after our 35,000 hens, protecting them from predators such as foxes, hawks and eagles. 

Olive was just 6 months old when the cover photo was taken, and is now much more grown up at 14 months. 

Olive came to live at the farm with her brother Otto. They were both purchased from a great breeder in Sydney who ensures all puppies go to working farms or homes with acreage. As a guardian dog they tend to bark which isn’t always great for suburbia.
