The Toodyay catchment planning workshop will explore whole of catchment planning in the Avon River Basin and the benefits of catchment-scale rehydration for individual landholders.
The concepts covered include:
- how to utilise rainfall on property to improve soil health, plant growth and water quality in waterways
- how landscape rehydration activities help increase fresh water availability in a system affected by salinity.
Mulloon Institute hydrologist Lance Mudgway will share practical on property options for improving rainfall utilisation using local examples.
Attendees will then visit a Toodyay property to see rehydration works and explore the process of problem identification / planning / implementation / practicality and learnings.
All participants will be supplied with a printed contour map of their property and guidance from experienced hydrologist Lance Mudgway.
Join us for an enjoyable and informative day learning how we can all work together to achieve landscape rehydration.
