Communities of Practice Project

Introduction

The Mulloon Institute’s ‘Communities of Practice Project’ (CoPP) is working with land managers around Australia to strategically improve water cycling and manage climate risk.

Funded by the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund, this program helps producers gain skills in water-retaining natural infrastructure and farm systems. Over two years, the Mulloon Institute will guide participants in planning and implementing nature-based drought resilience projects.

The program also fosters collaboration with Indigenous custodians and local communities of practice for long-term impact. From 2023–2025, five communities will take part in two streams: Land Managers and NRM Professionals/Community Leaders.

Mulloon Institute is thrilled to partner with Soils For Life on rehydrating catchments nationally. Watch the film above and read the article on the Soils For Life website to learn more, with a case study coming in 2025. Join us in building resilience and creating lasting positive change for the land!
