2025 Landcare Adventure – New England and North West (Inverell), NSW

Join your hosts Gwymac Landcare for a fantastic two days of learning and an amazing dinner and Bush Dance at the 2025 Landcare Adventure, "Nurturing Nature, Cultivating Tomorrow". 

Day 1 – Features guest presenters including Terry McCosker OAM, Walter Jehne, Dr John Hunter, Phill Lee, Alex Dudley, Russell Young, Tony Sonter, Liz Blair and Paul McDonald.

Dinner at "Danthonia" featuring Native Angus feef, Guest Speaker Dr Pran Yoganathan, then Dance the night away with the Swamp Dawkins bush Band (Bus Transport available to and from Danthonia).

Day 2 – Field trip 1 "Our Environment" - Convening at the Tourist information centre and departing to Copeton Dam, Rob Smith and Colin Ritchie will lead a bird walk and present a workshop on wildlife photography. Alex Dudley will conduct a fauna walk and talk, Wendy Hawes, and Dr John Hunter a native tree identification walk and talk and presentation of Eucalypts of the Northern Tablelands. Kerrie Saunders will also present on native grain flours and Bush Tucker. To conclude Kelly Paul will do a native flower arranging demonstration. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided. Travel by courtesy bus provided only.

Field trip 2 "Rehydration and Regeneration" - Convening at the Tourist information centre and departing to Swanvale, we will be joined by Peter Hazell from Mulloon Institute and Andrew Walsh from Norther Tablelands Local Lands Services looking at landscape rehydration demonstration sites in the Swanbrook catchment. The tour will then move on to the property "Danthonia" for more rehydration works and a soil pit demonstration. The day will conclude with a Maia Grazing presentation and a liquid compost demonstration. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided. Travel by courtesy bus provided only.
